There is no lady that hasn’t been called a prostitute – Cici
Popular social media influencer, content creator, and chef Cynthia Okeke, widely known as Cici, recently made a bold statement regarding the derogatory term “prostitute” often used against women.
In a video shared on her instagram page, , Cici asserted that nearly every woman has been labeled a prostitute at some point in her life, urging women to accept it and move on.
Joined by her frequent collaborator and friend, DJ Dimple Nipple, Cici used sarcasm to mock men who carelessly throw around such labels. In the video, Cici said, “There is no lady who hasn’t been called a prostitute in this life. You might as well accept the name and move on. Even fully dressed, what am I? If you’re a chef, what are you? If you’re a DJ, what are you? Only their mothers and sisters are not prostitutes, so they need to come up with something else.”
The video quickly garnered attention and sparked diverse reactions on social media. DJ Dimple Nipple commented on the post, saying, “My sister, it is well. May God help us in this Nigeria.”
Fans also weighed in, with one user, @bigbaby_vieve, commenting in Pidgin English, “No be new name, normally I don’t take it as an insult.” Another fan, @afeez_smart17, added, “Imagine being called ‘ashewo’ just because you can afford to feed yourself or get whatever you want on your own.”
Cici’s statement resonated with many, highlighting the pervasive issue of slut-shaming and the resilience of women in the face of such derogatory remarks.
