FCT police arrest woman for allegedly k!lling paralysed husband
A woman identified as Rahimat Salaum has been arrested for allegedly k!lling her paralysed husband in the Pegi area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The arrest was confirmed by SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, in a statement on Tuesday, July 30. Rahimat Salaum was apprehended by operatives of the Command attached to the Pegi Police Division on Monday.
According to SP Adeh, the woman was caught attempting to flee with her husband’s belongings when police operatives intervened and arrested her.
“Upon interrogation, the suspect admitted to k!lling her husband after a fight ensued between them. She subsequently led the police operatives to an uncompleted building where she had dumped the gruesomely burned body,” SP Adeh stated.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. The Commissioner of Police, FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, assured the public that justice will be served in this matter.
