EFCC to remand Yahaya Bello till December 10

The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has ordered the remand of former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello and two co-defendants in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)

Justice Maryanne Anenih issued the order on Wednesday, directing that Bello and his co-defendants, Umar Oricha and Abdulsalami Hudu, remain in EFCC custody until December 10, when she will rule on their bail applications.

The trio was arraigned by the EFCC on a 16-count charge, including allegations of criminal breach of trust involving N110.4 billion.

They pleaded not guilty to the charges, after which the court heard arguments from their legal teams regarding bail applications.
