Amanda Holden reveals she’s had no choice but to strip naked due to the horrible weather and is aching in a ‘weird’ area as she gives a cheeky update on her charity bike ride

Amanda Holden, 53, has given a cheeky update on how her 250-mile charity bike ride is going.

While taking a break from her bike ride, Amanda revealed she had no choice but to strip naked once she got back to her hotel room because of the bad weather.

She told The Sun: ‘I’m currently sitting here naked with nothing but a towel around me because the weather is just horrific

‘Monday was the worst for the hills, but now it’s the weather. My wet gear is on a radiator drying in this gorgeous hotel called The Chapel.’

Despite the setbacks, Amanda is keeping her spirits high after she was given a huge surprise on air on Tuesday.

Revealing the charity had received an incredibly generous donation, Amanda said: ‘We had a £100,000 donation from the makers of the film The Wild Robot. It is just incredible. We’ve had so many people supporting us along the way.’

Amanda said she has been cheered on by cars and lorries beeping and people running out from their gardens shouting words of encouragement.

She added she has found the support ‘really uplifting’.

The challenge kicked off on Monday and will continue throughout the week as she travels through Somerset, Berkshire, Wiltshire and Surrey before reaching her destination on Friday.

The star revealed she will be using ‘bum butter’ from the start of the trip to the end.

She revealed: 'I¿m currently sitting here naked with nothing but a towel around me because the weather is just horrific. Monday was the worst for the hills, but now it¿s the weather'

Amanda Holden endures a ‘tough’ cycle in the rain for char
In a previously interview with The Sun’s Bizarre column, the radio host explained: ‘I’ve got padded gussets and bum butter, but that’s just every day for me.’

‘I’d never heard of bum butter but now I’ve got so many varieties.’

She added: ‘We reckon we’ll be burning 15,000 calories a day. I’ve still got a Saganaki tummy from my holiday in Corfu so I’m doing this now for charity — and for weight loss. I’ll be like Davina McCall when I get back. I’ll be ripped.’

In preparation for the challenge during last week’s radio show, Amanda rode an exercise bike in her stilettos and glamorous outfit.

The ITV star previously said she would like a basket on the front of her bike for the bike ride as she would like to pick up snacks to keep her going.

She said: ‘I want a shopper with a basket and a gel saddle because if I want to stop for snacks at the local Spar in Bude, I will be doing that.’

Amanda continued: ‘I’m going to need snacks for energy purposes. But do you know what, as I’m doing this my thighs are hitting my tummy flab, so at least I can knead away the flab with my own thighs!’

Amanda is no stranger to tough challenges having previously completed the Three Peaks Challenge, a 10,000-foot skydive and climbing to the top of Blackpool Tower in aid of Global’s Make Some Noise.

However, Amanda’s ‘big ride to work’ will be the farthest and longest she has ever cycled before.
