Demi Moore reveals how daughter Tallulah reacted to THAT sex scene with Rob Lowe in ’80s rom-com About Last Night
Apparently, Tallulah Willis wasn’t ready to see her mother, Demi Moore, getting intimate with a man, nearly 40 years after the fact.
In a recent interview on Last Night With Seth Meyers, the longtime Hollywood leading lady was sharing about her family when she revealed how her youngest daughter had to turn off her 1980s rom-com About Last Night.
It turns out she just couldn’t watch her mom being intimate, with Rob Lowe no less, in a sex scene even though it was all pretend for the cameras.
‘I have been traveling a lot with the film and she said, “I was really missing you so I put on About Last Night,”‘ Moore said, in a reference to her new movie, The Substance. that she’s currently promoting.
‘”And then I didn’t realize there were sex scenes and so I had to turn it off,”‘ said Moore while still speaking for Tallulah, before chiming in herself, ‘She didn’t even say sex. She just said, “I just didn’t realize they had those scenes.”‘

Moore and Lowe starred in the Edward Zwick-directed rom-com with Jim Belushi, Elizabeth Perkins and Tim Kazurinsky.
He worked from a screenplay written by Kazurinsky and Denise DeClue, which was based on the David Mamet book Sexual Perversity In Chicago.
The story follows Moore as Debbie Sullivan and Lowe’s Danny Martin, just as they meet and begin to navigate their first serious sexual relationship, that ultimately comes with plenty of drama and turmoil, along with loved-up sex scenes.
That drama also extended to the real-life actors when Lowe yelled out a loud groan while shooting a love scene with Moore, which turned out to a yelp of pain due to him tearing a knee ligament.
‘It all went surprisingly well, until an especially passionate (and athletic) moment when Rob began to groan quite loudly as they pretended to make love,’ Zwick, now 71, wrote in his memoir, Hits, Flops, And Other Illusions: My Fortysomething Years In Hollywood, as previously reported by Daily Mail.
‘Everyone looked away, embarrassed, trying to act like it wasn’t happening until we realized that Rob had torn his ACL. Pro that he is, Rob kept acting until I said, “Cut.” The show, as they say, had to go on.’
The ACL is a ligament located within the knee joint that is most commonly torn during activities that involve sudden movements or changes in direction.
While the director didn’t know it at the time, he was dealing with a potential emotional disaster, considering the past histories of his leading man and woman.
Moore revealed how her daughter put the movie on during a time when she was traveling alot and missing her mother

‘Demi was so emotionally available, and the camera loved her,’ Zwick writes. ‘Both actors were open and willing, especially given the nudity the scenes required.’
Referring to a fling between the actors, The Last Samurai director admitted: ‘It wasn’t until after casting them that I learned Rob and Demi had hooked up years before.
‘To further complicate matters, Demi was the girlfriend of Rob’s oldest friend, Emilio Estevez. Though they all knew such scenes to be more technical than sexual, they were still a little anxious.’
The film ended up being a financial success grossing $38.7 million at the worldwide box office against just a budget of $8.5 million.

About Last night was show and released during Moore’s so-called Brat Pack phase, when she was lumped in with a handful of other young twenty-something actors in the 1980s that are featured in films like The Breakfast Club and St. Elmo’s Fire, to go along with About Last Night.
Along with Tallulah, Moore shares two other daughters: Rumer, 36, and Scout 33, with her ex-husband Bruce Willis, 69.
Willis and Moore met at a screening of the buddy cop action comedy film Stakeout (1987) and ended up getting married that same year.
They would ultimately get divorced in 2000, but they have remained close over the years, in part, in order to co-parent their girls.
