Jamie Lee Curtis performs her own STUNTS at 65 on last day of filming for Freakier Friday with Lindsay Lohan
Two months into filming for the much-anticipated film Freakier Friday and leading lady Jamie Lee Curtis showcased her willingness to get the perfect take on a scene while doing her own stunts.
In what was among the final scenes of the production, the 65-year-old actress could be seen jumping onto the hood of a car countless times while decked out in a form-fitting hot pink dress and gray knee-high boots.
And each time after director Nisha Ganatra yelled ‘cut’ Curtis quickly made her way to her glam squad on the set for a touch up on hair, makeup, and any other things needed for her to be ready to do it all over again.
A second picture shows the leading lady off to the side on set getting her long gray tresses primped and ready for another go at it.
Not long after they finally got what they needed from this particular scene, her co-star, Lindsay Lohan, took to her Instagram page to announce: ‘It’s a wrap on FREAKIER FRIDAY.’

After each take of the car hood scene, Curtis could be seen off to the side getting any touch ups to her onscreen ensemble consisting of a hot pink dress, gray knee-high boots, and her gray locks done up with top ponytails
The actress, who’s reprising her role as Anna, proceeded to gush over all those who helped make the shoot as good as an experience as possible.
‘Thank you to the amazing Cast, Crew, producers and everyone @disneystudios who put so much love and effort into making this movie!’ she shared. ‘Can’t wait to share it with you all!’
Lohan, 38, announced news of the shoot for the fantasy comedy coming to an end with a photo showing her riding a bicycle with a big beaming smile on her face.
She appears to be very happy, considering the big beaming smile on her face while dressed in denim cut-off shorts with a black blazer over an orange, red and yellow top, green sneakers, and a helmet over her long ginger locks.
Not to be outdone, Curtis also took to Instagram page to help pump up the promotional push of the film that’s now headed to editing room for all the tweaks, bells and whistles, before it hits theaters next year.
‘We have tried so hard to keep our story a secret and private until it’s time for release but once in a while an image comes out, and it doesn’t tell you anything about the story or about what’s going on with the characters but it does show the joy and fun that we had making #FREAKIERFRIDAY,’ she began, while referencing a new photo taken of herself and Lohan on the final day of the shoot.
The two actresses can be seen sharing a sweet hug while frolicking on beach and the ocean water.

The former child star showed off her womanly curves in a green-pattered shorts jumpsuit, and her long red tresses pulled off her face and into a loose ponytails, while her co-star wore a classic black wetsuit for her time playing in the ocean.
‘And we know it will be the experience that you will have in the theaters next year,’ the original Scream Queen declared. ‘Yes, you heard me… The theaters. The place we all go and enjoy a shared experience in the dark while munching popcorn and candy and laughing together and sometimes crying together. Until then……. @lindsaylohan @disneystudios.’
Her willingness to do almost all of her own stunts dates back decades to when she shot the action-comedy True Lies (1994) alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger with James Cameron in the director’s chair, according to Screen Rant.
The actress was willing to do dangerous stunt work herself, such as the famous helicopter and limousine stunts, but only took minor precautions to ensure she could escape if something went wrong.

It turns out Curtis only requested a knife and wire cutters for her safety during those potentially sketchy stunts in True Lies.
She also did most of her own stunts for her Oscar-winning performance in the comedy-drama film Everything Everywhere All At Once (2022), showing her fearlessness to potential on-screen danger.
Lohan and Curtis marked the beginning of filming for the Freaky Friday sequel on June 24 with a photo of themselves sitting in front of each other’s trailers on set, along with video clips of them striking different poses, all while smiling and laughing.
‘The Colemans are back and coming to theaters in 2025! The sequel to Freaky Friday is now in production!’ they shared in the caption.

The new story also incorporates characters created by Heather Hach and Leslie Dixon, the duo who wrote the screenplay for the 2003 reboot.
Many of the stars of the original film reboot are also back to reprise their roles such as Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murray, Christina Vidal, Haley Hudson, Lucille Soong, Stephen Tobolowsky, and Rosalind Chao.
Some of the other cast member include Sophia Hammons, Julia Butters, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, and Manny Jacinto, who was finally spotted on the set for the first time doing one of the final shots with Curtis and Sophia Hammons on Wednesday night in Los Angeles.

‘Manny plays Lindsay‘s husband, but that’s as much as we can say,’ Curtis revealed to EW, before Lohan added, ‘Manny is so lovely, so funny.’
The original reboot film in 2003 went on to become a hit at the worldwide box office, grossing $160.8 million while working with a budget of $26 million.
At this point, Disney has only revealed that Freakier Friday is scheduled to be released in 2025.
