Eugene and Dan Levy to Make Emmy History as First Father-Son Hosts

Eugene Levy and Dan Levy are set to host the 2024 Emmy Awards, marking a historic moment as the first father-son duo to take on this role. The Levys made history in 2020 when they became the first father and son to win Emmys together, thanks to the final season of their hit comedy series, Schitt’s Creek.

ABC and the Television Academy, which organizes the prestigious awards, announced that the Levys would be hosting the 76th Emmy Awards scheduled for September 15 at the Peacock Theater at LA Live in Los Angeles.

In a joint statement, Eugene and Dan expressed their excitement: “For two Canadians who won our Emmys in a literal quarantine tent, the idea of being asked to host this year in an actual theater was incentive enough.” They added that they are “thrilled to be able to raise a glass to this extraordinary season of television and can’t wait to spend the evening with you all on Sept. 15.”
