“This can never happen to Davido” – Reactions as Billboard mixes up Wizkid’s name with American rapper Wizkhalifa

The Billboard platform just made a major mistake, and it has caused a bit of drama in the Nigerian music scene.

Jamaican artist Shensea featured Wizkid on one of her recent songs, and in order to celebrate it, the Billboard platform posted about it, but there was a bit of a mix up with their post.

Billboard mixes up Wizkid’s name with Wizkhalifa.

Instead of tagging Wizkid just like they did with Shensea, Billboard tagged American rapper Wizkhalifa.

This singular misnomer had Wizkid’s fans nearly pulling out their hairs, while other netizens used it as an avenue to taunt the singer.

Note that there were a few mentions of Davido saying that no one knows Wizkid’s songs again in the comments.

These comments originated from Wizkid and Davido’s beef a few months back, and Davido had tweeted that ‘Dem no know your gbedu again’.

In essence, Davido’s jab at Wizkid meant that he was losing his value in the music industry, and his songs are no longer popular.
